The heaviest fraction obtained from coal tar distillation is pitch, which makes up 50% of the raw material. Coal tar pitch is a black solid at room temperature and is made up of a mix of many different hydrocarbons.

We sell a wide variety of pitches so we can better meet the needs of the different sectors of the consumer market. The main markets are:

• Manufacturing of anodes for the aluminum industry (Söderberg anodes and pre-baked anodes)
• Binder and impregnating agents in the manufacturing of graphite electrodes (electrodes, electric arc furnaces used in the ironworks industry, cathodes, and aluminum electrolysis anodes)
• Electrode paste for ferro-alloys (silicon metal, ferro-silicon, ferromagnesian silicate and magnesium silicate)
• Clay pigeons
• Pitch coke and briquettes
• Carbon fibers, polygranular graphite and carbon-carbon composites)

DISTRIBUTION FORMAT

Solid: solid pitch at room temperature can be delivered:

• in Bulk
• in Big bags (0,8 Tm, 1 Tm, 1,5 Tm)

This product can be sent by truck, in containers or by vessels

Liquid: thermally insulated tankers to transport by roadway.
