DESCRIPTION

Naphthalene C10H8 is a white solid at room temperature and occurs naturally in fossil fuels such as coal. In coal tar it makes up approximately 10% by weight.

There are different grades of naphthalene depending on the level of purity or the naphthalene content. The different grades of naphthalene sold by Bilbaína de Alquitranes, S.A. are

Naphthalene

  • Technical Naphthalene: 96.5 %
  • Enriched Naphthalene: 98 %
  • Refined Naphthalene: 99.5 %
  • Pure Naphthalene: 99.8 %



APLICATIONS

Naphthalene is a chemical intermediate in the manufacture of the following compounds:

- Cement additives (superplasticizers)

- Alkyd resins

- Plasticizers

- Dyes

- Detergents, wetting agents

- Naphthas

- Tanning agents

- Cement

- Solvents

- Non-flammable waxes (Halowax)

- Moth balls

DISTRIBUTION FORMAT

Solid: flakes in 25 kg bags.
This product can be transported by heavy duty trucks in containers or ISO containers.

Liquid: Thermally insulated tankers.
